women's - Vivienne Westwood Vivienne Westwood was born Vivienne Isabel Swire in Glossop, Derbyshire and, at 17, she moved to London. After years of finding herself, she began designing in 1971, using the shop at 430 Kings Road, London as a showcase for her ideas. With her changing ideas of fashion came the change of not only the name of shop, initially called "Let it Rock", but the entire decor as well.
In 1972, the name was changed to "Too Fast to Live, Too Young to Die". She catered to those who appreciated outrageous clothes with impeccable design details, as she has always pushed the limit on design. Over the years, Vivienne has received numerous awards and distinctions for her contributions to both Men's and Women's Fashion and even after all this time, she is still considered to be one of the most influential designers of our time.
