After working alongside Virgil Abloh for two years, Samuel Ross launched his own creative endeavor, A-COLD-WALL*. Three and half years after it began life as an art project, A-COLD-WALL’s distinctly multidisciplinary, narrative-filled vision has seen it evolve into an established fashion house. Although carefully considered and conceptually concentrated, ACW’s output is grounded in the everyday. The pieces empower the consumer to wear technical-infused garments in their own way. The interchangeable nature of these “deconstructable” pieces gives wearers the ability to switch up, remove, and add elements to their urban-utilitarian outfits as they see fit. His London-based label’s approach to streetwear employs tropes such as graphic branding and sporty basics, but his eye for industrial design and unexpected textiles imbue his streetwear aesthetic with a layer of refinement and runway-worthy sheen.
